Scott Dietrich is an accomplished physicist and current Assistant Professor of Physics at Villanova University since August 2018. Prior to this role, Scott served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanoelectronics Lab at Columbia University, focusing on van der Waals heterostructures and graphene, and held the title of Columbia Science Fellow, where Scott facilitated discussions in various scientific disciplines. Scott completed a PhD in Physics from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, with research in nonlinear quantum transport under the mentorship of Professor Sergey Vitkalov. Additionally, Scott has experience as an Adjunct Lecturer and Research Assistant at City College of New York. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from Boston University, as well as Master’s degrees and a Master of Philosophy in Physics from The City College of New York and The Graduate Center, CUNY.
