Alexander Knight

Alexander Knight has a diverse work experience in the field of data science. Alexander is currently employed as a Senior Data Scientist at Welligence Energy Analytics since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Avicena Tech from October 2021 to April 2022. Before Avicena Tech, Alexander worked at Infineum as a Data Scientist from April 2021 to October 2021. In this role, they focused on modelling and integrity checking an SQL database, applying machine learning algorithms in predictive models, and providing internal consulting on experimental design.

Earlier in their career, Alexander worked as a Research Assistant at Abertay University in 2015, where they created biometric identifiers from eye movement analysis and assisted final year masters students with statistical methodology for their industrial projects. Alexander also served as a Research Intern at the University of St Andrews in 2014.

Alexander Knight's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled in the University of St Andrews to pursue a degree in Mathematics and Statistics. Alexander attended this institution for six years and completed their MMath degree in 2015. Following this, from 2015 to 2021, they studied at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where they focused on Statistics and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Currently, Alexander is pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Engineering at Edinburgh Napier University, which they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023.
