Scott Young

Scott Young is an experienced payroll professional currently serving as Team Leader Payroll and Rostering at Wellington Free Ambulance since April 2024. Previously, Scott was the Principal Payroll Advisor for the Schools Payroll Holidays Act Remediation project at the Ministry of Education from January 2022 to February 2024. Scott's extensive background includes roles as Payroll Manager at the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) from January 2017 to December 2021, Senior Payroll Specialist at Xero in 2016, and Payroll Manager at MBIE. Scott also held the position of Team Leader for the Operations Payroll team at NZ Post from 2012 to 2015 and spent over 16 years at DATACOM Employer Services Limited as Team Leader in Payroll. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Scots College, completed between 1984 and 1990.
