Jared Landin

Executive Vice President, Operations at Wellmark

Jared Landin has been with Wellmark since 2012 and currently serves as executive vice president, Operations. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of customer service, claims administration, membership and enrollment, benefit configuration and implementation and benefits documents. Prior to joining operations in 2019, Jared was accountable for the audit services, enterprise risk management, and process excellence functions. Jared’s leadership and executive experience, along with his broad background, help align the Operations team in driving excellent service for Wellmark’s members, providers and stakeholders.

Prior to joining Wellmark, Jared spent nine years with Jefferson Wells in a variety of roles in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and London, United Kingdom, including: managing director, internal audit and technology director; national technology director; global financial services industry leader; European regional risk and advisory director; and director of internal audit and technology. Jared also spent nearly four years with McGladrey and Pullen in a national information technology practice that focused on SAS 70s, audit and security, and business continuity planning.

Jared serves on the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Des Moines Insurance and Financial Services Council and represents Wellmark on the Federal Employee Program Performance Incentive Plan executive committee, and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s Commercial Markets Implementation Subcommittee.

Jared earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, and holds an MBA from the University of Iowa’s Tippie School of Management.
