Anjan Basumatary

Anjan Basumatary is a seasoned professional in model development and governance, currently serving as a Senior Assistant Vice President at Wells Fargo since November 2025. In this role, Anjan has been instrumental in the development, validation, and governance of a comprehensive portfolio of credit scoring models, ensuring compliance and enhancing predictive accuracy throughout the credit lifecycle. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Manager of AI/ML Model Risk at ICICI Bank, where Anjan governed and validated credit scoring models while implementing rigorous validation and monitoring strategies. Anjan’s career began at Jana Small Finance Bank as a Manager. Anjan holds an MBA in Analytics and Information Systems from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, and a BTech in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Silchar.
