Cynthia Sugiyama is an accomplished communications leader with extensive experience across various industries. Currently, Cynthia serves as the Head of Communications for Diverse Segments, Representation & Inclusion at Wells Fargo, a position held since October 2017, where additional responsibilities have included leading HR communications and communications strategy. Prior to Wells Fargo, Cynthia held the role of Senior Director of Communications in the Office of the Chairman and CEO at Kaiser Permanente from February 2016 to October 2017, and was the Head of the Corporate Relations Department at Hawaiian Electric from February 2013 to January 2016. Cynthia also founded Cynthia Sugiyama Public Relations from 2008 to 2013, and held senior communications roles at Gap Inc. and Wal-Mart. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a Divisional Major in Social Science & Communication from the University of Southern California.
