Dr. Baker expanded his role in August 2013 to lead the implementation of WellSpan's quality and safety initiative Since 2005, he has championed WellSpan's efforts to develop a community electronic health record as a means to improve patient safety, clinical care and the quality of the patient experience.
Dr. Baker joined WellSpan York Hospital in June 1995 as associate program director of the WellSpan York Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. He has also been the lead physician at Apple Hill Internal Medicine, which is part of the WellSpan Medical Group, since 2001. Dr. Baker came to York after completing a general internal medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology and a medical degree from Cornell University.
