Richard Farr is the Executive Director of rabbittransit and Capital Area Transit, a regional public transportation provider serving the residents of eleven Central Pennsylvania Counties, providing over 4.5 million trips a year.
Farr's leadership has resulted in a number of initiatives including piloting paratransit software and the Find My Ride PA project for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as the creation of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit known as 3P Ride.
Farr has served on the MATP/NEMT Advisory committees, the Human Service Transportation Coordination Study and the Act 89 Shared-ride Pilot program Advisory Committee. Farr was named a Commissioner on Governor Corbett’s Transportation Funding Advisory Commission. He served as past Chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association, the Susquehanna Regional Transportation Partnership, York County MPO and Adams County MPO. He was most recently appointed to the National Transit Institute’s Advisory Board.
