Reito Watanabe was born in Shizuoka City. He studied venture finance at the Faculty of Business Administration, Kobe University. While he was still in school, he was involved in venture investment in Fukuoka before establishing Dogan Beta, an independent VC firm. He consistently invests locally. Since 2017, he has been an outside auditor.
