Michael Kuehn

Michael Kuehn is a Senior Policy Advisor at Welthungerhilfe, where responsibilities include advising the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee on topics related to poverty alleviation, sustainable development, climate change politics, and humanitarian aid. Kuehn has extensive experience in advocacy for low carbon development, climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and resilience. Prior to this role, Kuehn served as the Regional Director in Haiti, managing a national food security and emergency program with oversight of 12 international and 150 national staff members. Additional experience includes serving as a Representative for The Lutheran World Federation in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, as a Nuclear and Disarmament Campaigner at Greenpeace Germany, as a Political Affairs Officer with the United Nations in El Salvador, and as a Junior Researcher at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt. Kuehn holds a Diplom in Political Science and History from the University of Hamburg.
