Justin Staines

Justin Staines has an extensive work experience. In 2016, they began as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Blackbird One Ltd. In 2018, they became the Managing Director of Yellow Submarine Ltd. In 2019, they worked as an Open Source Developer at Apple, contributing to WebKit. In 2020, they became an Ambassador for UNICEF, a Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer for Tafuta, an Open Source Developer for Google, contributing to Chromium, a Chief Electronics Design Engineer for Wentworth Laboratories, a Strategic Advisor for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Insure FireTec Ltd. At Insure FireTec Ltd, they worked on a 6-month contract to develop an IoT firedoor system using 6 axis position detection and implementing algorithms using Quantum space Hilbert transforms. Justin is also a co-author of patents relating to the technology.

Justin Staines attended the University of Oxford in 1985, studying Computer Science. From 1988 to 1990, they attended Hinchingbrooke, focusing on A levels. Justin then went on to the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
