Hidde Boersma

Hidde Boersma, PhD, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in agriculture, conservation, and media. As the Founder and Specialist in Agriculture and Conservation at RePlanet since September 2018, Hidde advocates for precision fermentation, new breeding techniques, and land sparing. Hidde also serves as Founder and Creative Director at SUGAR RUSH FILM, working on various film projects, and co-director at Stop the Food Fight, focusing on the future of food narratives. Additionally, Hidde contributes to the Ubbo Emmius Foundation and functions as a Freelance Publicist at Bureau Wibaut, writing for numerous prominent publications. Hidde has authored several books on environmental and food systems topics and has held various leadership roles within political organizations. Educationally, Hidde holds an MSc in Microbiology from the University of Groningen and has studied at University College Dublin.
