Pierre de Muelenaere

Pierre de Muelenaere is a Belgian businessman and entrepreneur. Pierre is currently the advisor at Wequity. Prior to that, they were the director of the board at E-Capital and Tessares. Pierre also served as the chairman of the board of directors and CEO ad interim at EVS Broadcast Equipment. Additionally, they were a member of the investment committee at Qbic.

De Muelenaere has over 20 years of experience in the venture capital and private equity industries. Pierre has been involved in many successful investments, including EVS Broadcast Equipment, where they served as chairman of the board of directors. Under their leadership, EVS Broadcast Equipment became one of the world's leading providers of live video production systems.

De Muelenaere is a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship and has been a mentor and advisor to many startups and young entrepreneurs. Pierre is a member of the Belgian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA).

Pierre de Muelenaere started their educational career by studying at the Institut Saint Boniface, where they specialized in Latin and Math. Pierre then continued their studies at the Université catholique de Louvain, where they obtained a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Microelectronics and Artificial Intelligence. Finally, Pierre de Muelenaere obtained a Doctor in Applied Sciences from the Université catholique de Louvain in the field of Artificial Intelligence, OCR Technology and Imaging Chip Design.
