Christopher J. Nirschl, Ph.D has a wealth of experience in the field of immunology. Christopher J. began their career in 2007 as an Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Virginia. In 2009, they moved to the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where they served as a Teaching Assistant for Graduate Immunology, Ph.D Candidate, and Tutor. In 2014, they were a Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where they generated 8-10 color flow cytometry panels for analysis of human tumor infiltrating CD8 T cells and CD4 T regulatory cells, and supervised and assisted 3-6 Ph.D candidates and medical fellows with their individual projects. Christopher J. then became a Post Doctoral Fellow at Harvard University and Brigham and Womens Hospital, where they conceptualized and led the experimental design of multiple scientific projects, managing between 1-3 new lab members and technicians. In 2016, they joined POTENZA Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist, where they developed a variety of primary cell in vitro immunological assays to test the activity of their pre-clinical portfolio. In 2018, they became an Immunology Consultant to Astellas Pharmaceuticals, and in 2019, they joined Werewolf Therapeutics as a Senior Principal Scientist, Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist.

Christopher J. Nirschl, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from the University of Virginia between 2005 and 2009. Christopher J. also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry from the University of Virginia during the same time period. In 2009, they began their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed it in 2014.
