Mark Singer serves as Deputy General Counsel at APG Asset Management since May 2019, having previously held the role of Assistant General Counsel since 2007. In these positions, Mark has led the structuring and negotiation of various transactions in sectors including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure, drafting essential legal documents for an asset manager handling over €470 billion for European pension funds. Prior to APG, Mark was a Corporate Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Latham & Watkins LLP from 2005 to 2007, and in the Private Equity Group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP from 2001 to 2005. Mark began the professional career as a Program Officer at The Mentor Group from 1996 to 1998. Mark holds a J.D./LL.M in International and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law and a B.A. in Russian and East European Studies from Middlebury College.
