Georgia Hancy

Georgia Hancy is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Legal Counsel (Litigation) at Wesfarmers since March 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Associate at Barry.Nilsson. from January 2018 to March 2022, and Manager of Risk at Law Mutual for a brief period in 2016. Georgia has also worked as a Risk Lawyer specializing in Legal Risk and Compliance at Dentons, and held positions as a Foreign Qualified lawyer at Blaney McMurtry LLP and the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. Earlier in Georgia's career, roles included a lawyer position at DLA Phillips Fox from January 2007 to July 2010. Academically, Georgia holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Murdoch University and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Risk Management and Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia, completed in 2021. Admission as a Barrister/Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and as a Legal Practitioner to the Federal and High Court of Australia took place in 2008.
