Undergraduate Research Assistant, Department Of Biology at Wesleyan University

Tai Lon Tan is an undergraduate researcher at Wesleyan University, currently working in the Department of Molecular Biology & Biochemistry under Dr. Ishita Mukerji, focusing on the binding of mismatch repair proteins to DNA during homologous recombination. In addition, Tai Lon conducts research in the Department of Biology with Dr. Jennifer Mitchel, studying e-cadherin-based junctions in epithelial cell migration. Experience includes serving as a Course Assistant for statistical computing in R, providing tutoring in Organic Chemistry, and managing events at Wesleyan's Center for the Arts. Previously, Tai Lon completed a research internship at the Mechanobiology Institute under Dr. Andrew Holle, investigating stem cell migration. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wesleyan University and Cambridge A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics from Methodist College Kuala Lumpur.
