Ben Smith

Ben Smith is an experienced sports reporter currently working at The West Australian since December 2022 and at PerthNow Local Newspapers since February 2017. At PerthNow, Ben provides sports content for re-branded local weekly newspapers and has previously covered various local government and community issues in the Cities of Cockburn, East Fremantle, Canning, and Gosnells. In addition, Ben serves as the Social Media Manager for The Football Sack, focusing on managing social media accounts and matchday coverage for A-League and W-League seasons. Earlier roles include positions at Essence of Coffee - The Roastery and Miacafe as a waiter, and a nightfill position at Coles. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Postgraduate Certificate in Internet Communications from Curtin University.
