Hannah Cross

Hannah Cross is an experienced journalist currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Reporter for The West Australian since August 2023. Previously, Hannah held the position of Chief of Staff at Seven West Media's The Sunday Times, leading a team to cover news and produce features in a dynamic newsroom environment. In addition, Hannah served as Peel Editor for the Mandurah Times and Sound Telegraph, focusing on local reporting and direction of a small team. Prior experience includes being the Editor for the National Indigenous Times, where a national team reported on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island issues, and as a Political Editor for METIOR, a student magazine at Murdoch University. Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Aid & Development and Journalism from Murdoch University and attended Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole.
