Katy Mackay has a strong background in marketing and public relations. Katy started their career in 1984 at AmSouth Bank, where they served as VP of Public Relations. In this role, they led the company's PR efforts and directed a staff to execute media and community relations initiatives. Katy also played a key role in incubating new product and business segment strategies.
In 1996, Katy joined Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company, as Vice President of Retail Sales and Marketing. During their time there, they re-engineered business strategies and launched new marketing strategies, resulting in a 71% increase in sales. Katy developed a company-wide sales training program and led the outbound sales training team.
In 2001, Katy joined West Bank as SVP and Marketing Director, a position they currently hold.
Katy Mackay obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Florida State University, where they studied from 1975 to 1977. Katy later pursued further education at Drake University, where they completed a Master of Education degree in Adult and Organizational Development from 2003 to 2005.
