Matthew Darnall

Matthew Darnall is a highly experienced technology executive currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at West Basin Capital Management since September 2024. Prior to this role, Matthew spent over a decade at Element Capital Management, where roles included Head of Modeling and Technology, Lead Developer, Senior Core Developer, Managing Director, and Director. Matthew's earlier experience includes a Vice President position in the Quant Strats group at Credit Suisse, where responsibilities encompassed exotic modeling and risk dashboards, as well as systems for collateral valuation adjustments. Matthew began a career at Credit Suisse as a summer intern and has also held internships at Motorola, focusing on cryptography, and worked as a laborer in construction. Matthew holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BA in Mathematics from Humboldt State University.
