Pamela Dotson

Chief Nursing Officer at West Cancer Center

Pamela has 30 years of experience in healthcare. Prior to joining West Cancer Center, Pam held the title of Senior Vice President in charge of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at the world renowned St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where she led the institution to its first Magnet© Designation in August of 2015. Magnet recognition is the most prestigious distinction a healthcare organization can receive for nursing excellence. Pam earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Memphis. She is American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Advanced - Board Certified as a Nurse Executive and is a member of multiple professional organizations including the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Best Practices Committee, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Oncology Nursing Society and the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses, among others. Dotson is also the recipient of the 2016 Nurse.com GEM Award for Executive Leadership category in the "South and New GEM States" region and was a finalist for the 2016 Memphis Business Journal Healthcare Hero Award in Health Administration.
