Vince Garcia

Vince Garcia has over 20 years of experience in engineering and product development. From 2018 to present, they have worked at West Coast Corporation, where they have held the roles of Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, and Sr. Engineer. In this role, they have been responsible for New Product Development and Sustaining, with a focus on building products that address the new ANSI 121-2018 standard for Dropped Object Prevention (DOP). From 2012 to 2018, Vince worked at Ormco, where they held the roles of R&D Engineering Manager Product Development and R&D Product Development Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for New Product Development for Class I and II medical devices for the orthodontic industry, as well as risk assessment and translating post market surveillance to New and Sustaining Product development. From 2009 to 2012, Vince worked at Alexander Andrew, Inc. (dba FallTech) as a Product Development Engineer, where they were responsible for Fall Protection R&D product development, including Part design, Assembly, Sheet Metal design, Mold Design and FEA analysis. From 2008 to 2009, Vince worked as an Independent Business Owner at Brightspaces eCommerce, where they ran an Ebay ecommerce business that utilized contacts made during extensive travels to China and Taiwan. From 2003 to 2008, Vince worked at TaylorMade adidas Golf as a Product/ Project Engineer, where they were responsible for the successful transfer of new Iron/ Wedge and Hybrid Golf Club products from R&D to Operations for an on schedule and on budget launch. Finally, from 2000 to 2003, Vince worked at Teradyne as a Process Engineer (Connections Division). In this role, they managed PCB projects (Circuit Boards) as required to support manufacturing improvements, new product and process introduction, and meeting customer requirements.

Vince Garcia attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering, as well as a BS Engineering.
