Chris Goonewardene holds extensive experience in the field of physiotherapy and sports training, currently serving as the Medical Coordinator and Trainer Coordinator for the West Coast Eagles since 2015. In addition to these roles, Chris is the Director of Sports Trainers WA, focusing on elite education and practical standards for Sports Trainers in Western Australia. Chris also serves as Director and Physiotherapist at Aspire Physiotherapy Claremont and has previously held physiotherapy positions at Aubin Grove Physiotherapy and Kwinana Physiotherapy. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Science, both from the University of Notre Dame, along with a Graduate Diploma in Exercise Science.

West Coast Eagles
The West Coast Eagles Football Club formed in August, 1986, playing its first official match for premiership points against Richmond in 1987. Our women's side played its first game for AFLW premiership points in February 2020 against Collingwood. Since then, the club has enjoyed significant success , winning premierships in 1992, 1994, 2006 and 2018. Based at Mineral Resources Park in Lathlain, West Coast boasts a proud tradition of success on and off the field which can be attributed to its many loyal members and corporate partners.
