James Nygren

James Nygren has worked as a Shift Engineer at West Coast Reduction Ltd. from April 2019 to November 2020. James then transitioned to the role of Chief Engineer at the same company from November 2020 to the present. Prior to this, they worked as a Laundry Power Engineer/Maintenance Technician (Casual) at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority from May 2018 to April 2023.

James Nygren has a diverse education history. In 2016, they attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology and obtained a Diploma in Power and Process Engineering, which they completed in 2017. Immediately following this, they enrolled in the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and completed a Diploma in Power Engineering Technology between 2017 and 2018.

In 2022, James further pursued their education by attending Vancouver Island University, where they obtained a Certificate in Management Skills for Supervisors in 2023.

Additionally, James has obtained several certifications that complement their education. In June 2018, they received a 3rd Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency from Technical Safety BC. Around the same time, they also acquired a Class 1 Driver's License from ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia). More recently, in July 2022, James obtained an H2S Alive certification from Energy Safety Canada.
