Amoryn Smith

Amoryn Smith is a professional with extensive experience in hydrology and hydraulic engineering. Since October 2022, Amoryn has served as a Staff Engineer at WEST Consultants, Inc., following six years as a Civil-Hydrosystems Engineer at the Bureau of Reclamation, where Amoryn developed hydrologic models, participated in large-scale water distribution projects, and designed riverbank protection and passive fish barriers. Previous experience includes a Research Assistant role at Arizona State University, where Amoryn collaborated on research projects and trained students, as well as a Municipal Utilities Department internship at the City of Chandler, focusing on data management for water rights. Amoryn holds a Master's Degree in Hydrosystems Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil-Environmental Engineering from Arizona State University, complemented by an Associate in Arts from Mesa Community College.
