Dr. Dishawn Givens

Dr. DiShawn Givens currently serves as the Director of School Leadership and Accountability for Hayward Unified School District, a position held since July 2020. Previously, Dr. Givens held roles such as Principal in Fremont Unified School District and Hayward Unified School District, and Educational Equity Coordinator in Fremont Unified. Experience in the field began as a Teacher in Oakland Unified School District, progressing to a Teacher on Special Assignment. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership for Social Justice and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from California State University - East Bay, along with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of La Verne.
