Jessica Ross

Jessica Ross is an experienced educational professional with a strong background in counseling and outdoor leadership. Currently serving as a Dual Enrollment Counselor and High School Counselor at West Contra Costa Unified School District since August 2017, Jessica has successfully managed caseloads of 350-650 students and implemented strategies that significantly improved college eligibility for seniors. With over a decade of experience as a Lead Instructor and Course Director at Outward Bound, Jessica has mentored diverse youth through wilderness courses and developed impactful curricula focused on personal growth. Additionally, Jessica holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Education in Management of Diverse School Organizations from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Jessica's commitment to student success and equity in education is further demonstrated through various initiatives, including the establishment of the Coordination Access Resource Equity (CARE) Team and advocacy for additional counseling staff in the school district.
