Karen Benson Larson

Karen Benson Larson has extensive experience in educational support and volunteer coordination. Currently a Paraeducator at West Contra Costa Unified School District since August 2018, Karen provides individualized support to students in tutorial and general education classes, collaborating with Special Education teachers to enhance student resources. Prior to this role, Karen served as a WriterCoach Connection Trainer, Site Coordinator, and Volunteer Coordinator from 2005 to 2018, focusing on improving writing skills among middle- and high-school students and managing large teams of community volunteers. Earlier in her career, Karen held the position of Assistant Vice President at Union Bank, where responsibilities included developing business relationships with middle market companies. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Princeton University, obtained between 1981 and 1985.
