Shane Scott

Shane Scott has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the Director of Secondary Curriculum at West Des Moines Community Schools since July 1998, where responsibilities include overseeing curriculum development. Prior positions include Director of Curriculum and Associate Principal, as well as a General Science Teacher. Prior to this, Shane Scott worked at Freeport Community Schools #165 from June 1996 to June 1998, teaching Science and Biology. Educational qualifications include an Ed.S in Specialist in Education from Drake University (2007-2011), an M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Drake University (2001-2005), and a BA in Education with a major in Earth Science Education and minors in Biology and Coaching from the University of Northern Iowa (1991-1996).
