Chris Virostek

Chris Virostek is the current CFO and VP of Finance at West Fraser. Chris is responsible for leading the finance, accounting, information technology and legal functions at the company. Chris has been with West Fraser for 5 years and 4 months, and has played a key role in the company's $4B all share acquisition of Norbord Inc. in 2021.

Prior to joining West Fraser, Chris spent 15 years at Masonite International, where they held various positions including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, VP of Finance & Chief Accounting Officer, and Corporate Controller. In these roles, Chris was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and integrating business acquisitions and divestitures, as well as leading due diligence teams and negotiating and executing transactions. Chris also played a key role in the company's strategic planning process and was involved in special strategic projects at the business unit level.

Before their time at Masonite International, Chris worked as an Audit Manager at Arthur Andersen for 5 years and 7 months.

Chris Virostek has a HBBA from Wilfrid Laurier University in Accounting and Psychology minor from 1992-1996. Chris also has a CPA from National Association of State Boards of Accountancy from 2003-2003 and they are also education from Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1997-1997.
