Robert Cochrane

Robert Cochrane is an experienced professional in the wood product and pulp industry, currently serving as General Manager at West Fraser since August 2019, following a role as Production Manager. Prior to this, Robert held the position of Technical Manager at Norbord, where responsibilities included quality, product development, and process improvement at an OSB site in Ontario. Additional experience encompasses roles as Pulp Mill Manager at Aditya Birla Group, overseeing a significant NSBK mill, Pulp Mill Superintendent at AV Terrace Bay, and various leadership positions at Boise Paper. Robert began a career in firefighting with the Watten Fire Department, ultimately rising to Chief, while also holding various technical roles at Resolute Forest Products. Robert earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
