Alan Lau

Alan Lau serves as Chief Business Officer at Animoca Brands, overseeing investment and portfolio teams in blockchain and tokenization initiatives. Lau is also a member of the Board of Directors at Tapestry, providing strategic counsel, and a founding member of the AI Advisory Board at The University of Hong Kong, contributing insights on AI and its integration into academia. With long-standing roles at prestigious cultural institutions, including as Co-Chair of the Asia Art Circle at the Guggenheim Museum and APA Committee at Tate, Lau actively supports the growth of contemporary art collections. Additionally, Lau is involved with the Cultural Program Panel at the University of Oxford's Schwarzman Centre and holds vice chair and board positions at the M+ museum in Hong Kong. Lau previously chaired Tencent's WeSure and has maintained significant influence in the art community through chairmanship at Para Site, an independent contemporary art space. Lau holds an M.Eng in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.
