Garth Tormoen

Garth Tormoen is a seasoned professional in the fields of medicine and engineering, currently serving as a Radiation Oncologist at West Michigan Cancer Center since January 2023 and as a Physician at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center since August 2020. Garth has a strong academic background, holding a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering from Oregon Health & Science University and two degrees in Materials Science and Engineering (MS and BS) from Michigan Technological University. With extensive experience as an MSTP Candidate at Oregon Health & Science University and a Resident Physician there from 2016 to 2020, Garth also contributed to research at Southwest Research Institute, focusing on corrosion related testing through wireless sensor networks. Early career involvement included serving as a Research Assistant at Michigan Technological University, managing the Surface Science laboratory.
