Atul Patel

Atul Patel serves as the Vice President of Devices & Delivery Systems at West Pharmaceutical Services since October 2020. Previously, Atul held the position of Global Head of Medical Devices at Biogen from January 2013 to September 2020, where responsibilities included developing strategies for patient-convenient drug delivery devices and digital health solutions, leading a comprehensive device team, and creating digital disease monitoring solutions. Prior to Biogen, Atul directed R&D for self-administered injectable systems at BD from October 1996 to December 2012, focusing on innovation in drug delivery devices. Early career roles included Manufacturing Plant Manager at Jackson Products, where lean manufacturing strategies were implemented, and Manufacturing Engineer at BRITAX USA, contributing to rapid company growth. Atul Patel holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from MS University and an M.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University.
