Barry McDermott

Barry McDermott, PhD, MSc, CEng MIEI, currently serves as the Director of Enterprise Transformation at West Pharmaceutical Services, focusing on mentoring and implementing Design for Six Sigma methodologies throughout the product development process. With extensive experience in global program management and R&D, Barry has held various leadership roles, including Director of Global Programs and Director of Delivery Systems Programs. Prior roles encompass project management for multimillion-dollar programs at Covidien and consulting positions with Abbott Vascular and Boston Scientific. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Product Development, an MSc in Computer Aided Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, along with several engineering diplomas and certificates.
