Bingxi Yan

Bingxi Yan currently serves as a Senior Scientist at West Pharmaceutical Services, starting in May 2020, where the focus is on integrating academic advances into research and development initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University from August 2013 to May 2020, contributing to projects that received significant funding, including the development of advanced insulin pump technology. Bingxi Yan's doctoral research involved leading a team to create a battery-free implantable insulin pump using electroactive polymers. Additionally, Bingxi Yan was a Visiting PhD Student at Cornell University in late 2017, conducting animal testing on device prototypes under the supervision of Professor Minglin Ma. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Physical Electronics from Fudan University.
