Michael Willy

Battalion Chief Of Emergency Medical Services at West Pierce Fire & Rescue

Michael Willy is currently the Varsity Men's Rowing Coach at the University of Puget Sound and also serves as a Firefighter/Paramedic at West Pierce Fire & Rescue. Previously, Michael was the Head Rowing Coach & Program Director at the University of Puget Sound. Willy holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership - Servant Leadership from Gonzaga University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from University of Puget Sound.

West Pierce Fire & Rescue

West Pierce Fire & Rescue protects approximately 31 square miles, proudly serving the citizens of Lakewood and University Place. It is a fire district funded separately from the cities. West Pierce Fire & Rescue was formed in 2011 following a merge of the University Place and Lakewood Fire Departments. Numerous services are provided to the community including fire suppression, emergency medicine and transport, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, emergency management, disaster preparedness, fire code inspections, investigations, as well as fire and life safety education.
