Carlos Miguel Silva

Carlos Miguel Silva is an accomplished Marine and Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the maritime industry. Currently, Carlos serves as a Project Leader at West Sea - Estaleiros Navais, overseeing the design and construction of multiple Polar Expedition and River Cruise Vessels. Prior to this role, Carlos worked at Estaleiros Navais de Viana do Castelo, S.A., where responsibilities included team management and preparing technical specifications for construction projects. Additionally, Carlos gained research experience at CENTEC Técnico, focusing on fleet management and optimization techniques, and completed internships at TOTAL and Universidade de São Paulo, where skills in industrial systems and logistical modeling were developed. Carlos holds a Doctorate, Master's, and Engineer's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
