Khris Wright has been working in the marine engineering industry since 2012. Khris began their career as an Intern at General Dynamics Bath Iron Works, where they worked in the Naval Architecture Department in various roles, such as surveying as-built sounding tubes, creating sounding tables, reviewing docking drawings, and designing and reviewing regulations for concept design. Khris also traveled to the home port of DDG 111 to perform an inclining experiment. In 2013, they moved to Gunderson Marine as a Marine Design Engineer. Currently, they are employed at Elliott Bay Design Group as a Marine Mechanical Engineer.
Khris Wright began their educational journey at Albion College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in a Combined Course: Physics from 2008 to 2011. Khris then continued their studies at the University of Michigan, where they earned a B.S.E. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from 2011 to 2013.
