M. Américo Valdés, MA, currently serves as the Director of Grant Programs at West Virginia Public Broadcasting, overseeing all aspects of grant projects and ensuring the accuracy of major grant applications. Valdés has an extensive background in digital marketing and grant management, having previously held positions such as Housing Programs Grants Specialist at the West Virginia Department of Economic Development, where responsibilities included the administration of federal housing grants, and Partnerships Specialist at the U.S. Census Bureau. Additional experience includes leadership roles in various marketing positions, managing web content and digital strategies for companies such as ANCILE Solutions, Prometric, and Mel Kiper Enterprises. Valdés holds a Master of Arts in Integrated Design from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in History from Frostburg State University.
