Alex Winter is a seasoned professional in information security, currently serving as the Director of Security for Optum Care East at UnitedHealth Group since May 2021, where responsibilities include supporting information security initiatives for Optum Care and its Eastern U.S. operations. Prior roles include Director of Security Operations at Optum and Senior Information Security Analyst at Webster Bank. Alex's extensive experience encompasses roles such as Principal Information Security Engineer and involvement with cybersecurity solutions and enterprise security architecture at various organizations. Additionally, Alex has a strong background in music, holding degrees in Oboe Performance and Security and Resilience Studies from prestigious institutions, alongside a tenure as an English horn player with multiple orchestras.
