Hunter Neel is a Curriculum Development Assistant at West Virginia University, engaged in creating curriculum modules focused on elections and voting for secondary school educators while ensuring alignment with West Virginia curriculum standards. In addition, Hunter supervises student teachers in the Department of History, conducting observations and evaluations to support the Social Studies Secondary Education program. As a Graduate Research Assistant, involvement in the IDEAS Grant Program facilitated enhanced education abroad opportunities for diverse student populations. Hunter has also managed social media strategies as a Social Media Manager for Blue Moose and previously as a Social Media and Design Intern for Art to Ware. With a background as a Co-Founder and Digital Project Director for YNST Magazine and a Creative Director for Mirage Magazine, Hunter holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from West Virginia University.
