Harriet Alvis is an accomplished professional in the field of fisheries and aquatic management with significant experience in project development, management, and practical river restoration. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at the West Wales Rivers Trust since January 2020, Harriet also holds roles as Co-Editor of FISH Magazine and has previously worked as a Senior Freshwater Consultant at APEM Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Fisheries Management Diploma from the Institute of Fisheries Management and a Master’s in Environmental Biology from Swansea University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. West Wales Rivers Trust was formed in 2017 with the aim of restoring and safeguarding the rivers, lakes and wetlands of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Swansea. The objectives of the Trust are to: -Promote awareness of environmental issues and best practice -Promote recreational enjoyment of rivers, lakes and wetlands -Undertake research and development to help restore damaged habitats
