Mary Butler

Mary Butler is an Adjunct Professor of Anthropology at the University of North Texas and the University of Maryland, where responsibilities include developing and teaching online courses and advising doctoral students. Mary holds extensive experience as a Senior Study Director at Westat and has served as the Past President of the National Association for the Practice of Anthropology (NAPA) and previously held the position of President at NAPA. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Leader at Battelle, focusing on public health research and evaluation. Mary earned a PhD and an MA in Anthropology from Temple University and a BS in Zoology from Ohio University.
