Shauna Collins

Shauna Collins, MD, is a seasoned clinician and physician with extensive experience in obesity treatment and medical weight loss. Since May 2018, Dr. Collins has served as a Physician-Researcher for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) under Westat, focusing on health and nutrition research across the United States. In addition to her role at the CDC, Dr. Collins is the Chief Executive Officer of Salt of the Earth Media, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to creating Christian media. Previously, Dr. Collins founded and operated a specialty medical practice focusing on obesity treatment from 2012 to 2018. Dr. Collins earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente, following a Bachelor's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Occidental College.
