Mariela Adams serves as a Council Member for the New York State Council on Developmental Disabilities since August 2023 and has been a Program Manager at the Westchester Institute For Human Development since December 2020, where roles include LEND Faculty member, Coordinator of Self-Advocacy and Community Engagement, and Self-Advocate Facilitator. Additionally, Mariela hosted Parent groups for Parent to Parent of NYS Inc. from May 2021 to November 2023 and previously held the position of Regional Coordinator there from May 2018 to August 2019. Academically, Mariela holds a Master of Science in Industrial Relations and a Master of Science in Organization Development from Loyola University Chicago, along with a Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences with a focus on Organization Development from Universidad Tecnológica del Centro (UNITEC).
