Kirk Walters

Kirk Walters serves as Vice President of Mathematics & Improvement Science at WestEd since June 2019, following roles as Senior Managing Director and Director of Mathematics within the same organization. Prior to WestEd, Kirk held various positions including Managing Researcher, Principal Researcher, Senior Research Analyst, and Research Analyst at the American Institutes for Research from March 2005 to June 2019. Kirk obtained a PhD in Education Policy Studies from the University of Maryland between 2002 and 2008 and earned a B.S.E. in Social Studies Education and Mathematics from John Brown University from 1988 to 1993.
