Zach Smith

Zach Smith is a Senior Project Director at WestEd, where support is provided to educators in addressing challenges within the education system, with a focus on inclusivity and equity for historically marginalized student populations. Prior experience includes a role as a Doctoral Student Resident at Highline Public Schools linked to Harvard Graduate School of Education, independent consulting, and various positions within Sanger Unified School District, including District Instructional Specialist and Special Education Teacher. Zach is pursuing a Doctorate of Education Leadership from Harvard and holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from California State University, Fresno. Additionally, Zach has experience as an Adjunct Professor, educating future special education teachers on curriculum and instructional practices.
