Mark Garceau, Ed.D., is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Superintendent of Westerly Public Schools since July 2017. Previously, Garceau held the role of Superintendent at Oxford Public Schools from July 2014 to July 2017 and served as Director of Instructional Services at Fall River Public Schools from August 2012 to July 2014. Garceau's career includes significant positions within education, such as a consultant at the Rhode Island Department of Education, Director of Instruction and Administration at Woonsocket Education Department, and Principal at Gladstone Street Elementary School. Garceau began as a classroom teacher and advanced to Assistant Principal before assuming leadership roles. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University, a Master of Education in School Administration, and a Master of Arts in Education from Rhode Island College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and Music Education from Berklee College of Music.
